It's obvious he should have probably retire at season's end so why doesn't he come home to start his new career and teaxh JKS?

Karen Rodgers would be a downgrade from Tosh. Why are we setting the bar so low?

Just watching how AR relates to his teammates (on HBO's Hard Knocks), I think he'd be a great coach, if that's what he ever wanted to do. However, it would surprise me if he did.

The OP clearly said QB coach.
Not HC.

Because it's a stupid ****ing idea. He'll make $10,000,000 year for ESPN or whatever, doing 1/100th of the work.

It's unlikely he needs the money. It's more a question of what does he want to do after his NFL career. Does he want to be a talking head on TV (not that there's anything wrong with that), does he want to help develop future stars, or does he want to do something else?

He was a teammate of Tosh's, is probably a friend, but I just don't see him signing up to have Tosh as his boss, even as OC. If we offered him the HC job maybe, but that ain't happening.

Many of the best coaches were not star players. Being a great at a sport and coaching others to be great are different skill sets, though not mutually exclusive.

like as advisor, ohkay, worth consideration by our next head coach, um, if affordable? iirc he hasn't been paid to coach before..

Rodgers recently said in an interview that he wanted to go out of the spotlight for a while after retiring. Whether you believe him or not or whether you think an assistant or advisor to our team counts as 'in the spotlight' I just don't really think that a guy who's 40 with a net worth of a half billion or so would really want to jump out of a long working career and right into another job. I expect that if he ever gets around to a secondary career he'll take at least a few years to just relax and decompress. The broadcaster or coaching jobs will still be there for him anyway

Judging from interweb snippets from winning players and coaches over recent years, I'd say JC is overextended already.

doesn't seem like the relax and decompress type. Or, the reading teleprompters type, either. I'm thinkin' he'll start a company.

Absolutely NOT! He may have the most arm-talent in NFL history - but his fundamentals are atrocious; constantly throwing off his back foot, and occasionally throwing with both feet literally off the ground. His "mentoring" of Zach Wilson didn't go so well either.

Would love him to be a regular around the program - especially on the sideline, or in recruiting.
