Oregon OC Will Stein will be the new Head Coach of Kentucky:

With Tosh likely becoming our new Head Coach, looks like Oregon will have to retool for next season.

Kentucky must think very highly of Stein considering Stoops' hefty buyout..

Imagine having a head coach who keeps hiring coordinators who are good enough to get major head coaching jobs.

Stein was one of my top choices for Cal, I guess he was mainly interested in the UK job given that his parents were alums and he grew up there (played for Louisville). I wonder how much he is getting paid, I would guess no lower than $6M to $9M. The majority of SEC coaches make more than $9M/year.

Yes he is going to be a loss for Oregon, more so than Tosh, as Lanning is a defensive coach and they already have another co-DC in place.

They do/did. He agreed to an extended timeline for the payout period. That eases things on UK.

You mean coordinates aren't supposed to be fired every 1-2 years?

4 OCs in 4 years broke Holmoe's record

With Stein's departure from Oregon announced, there is no Oregon reason for Tosh to Cal not being announced, assuming he is the guy.
