Cal missed a FG too. All this game needed was overtime.

Both teams were thankfully spared!!!

That was one of the worst games I've ever seen.

It definitely was stretching our memory cells! I was thinking there had to be some victory over WSU 40 years ago where you just slept through it on a Saturday afternoon.
You said it perfectly!

But hey, it couldn't have been that bad if we were watching to the very end. I mean, a lead change, within 3 points at the end….. there have to be worse than that.

Thank you Syracuse for all your stupid penalties.

We had a few dumb penalties of our own.

We were not immune to the yellow flag but talk about witnessing another team shooting themselves in the foot like Syracuse did.

This is easily a game that we could have lost in embarrassing fashion in the past.

Yes, a lot of road losses to bad/the worst teams in our conference even in our best years under Tedford much less under Wilcox.

The one vs WSU in 2007 when Nate Longshore limped to a 20-17 win over a team we should have beaten by multiple TDs comes to mind.

Easily could have lost this game. Syracuse's kicker missed two makeable FGs in the 4th quarter in a game they lost by only three points. Syracuse's offense outgained Cal's by almost 200 yards. Syracuse's kick returner had two returns of over 50 yards each nullified by penalties.

Can we acknowledge how crazy that Hail Mary pass was? The Syracuse QB got lit up as he was falling toward the sideline, threw a ball that kind of floated, and completed the pass. Our DB almost got a hand on it.

so what? in the past we've been blown out by winless in conference teams.

There were maybe four(?) Cal defenders around him too.

It was a wild play and that's it

Yeah, he was essentially surrounded. Great play by the two Syracuse players, even if some luck was involved.

I'm generally against violence. But that hit was entertaining!
