NC State and Virginia are not good and we should beat at least one or both, if we go 0-2 we need to look at maybe an interim for Big Game because we are not getting the Axe back if we continue to flatline under this regime

yeah. Would be nice to have the money to pay three head coaches at the same time. Bummer.

Yeah, we made one helluva impression on Texas recruits. This visit just gave the University of Texas a chance to recruit JKS. They need a QB, because Manning is flaming out.

This season is over. I'll be very surprised if we win another game, and a loss to Stanford is almost assured.

We did beat a decent Virginia Tech squad so there is potential but if we beat none of them then we are not winning anything the rest of the year

It is pretty binary, win one and we still have something, win none and there's nothing

The only game left to win is Stanford. This team is bad and even that will be a challenge

Not saying we will, but if we get some players back and/or we play like we did in the first half today I think we could conceivably win 3 and finish 6-6 (5-4) for a "bowl game" and our first winning conference record since 2009. Get the Axe back and win the bowl game and it would arguably equal or exceed every season since 2006 (ie the last 20 years). Yes, it has been THAT bad and yes our schedule has gotten that much easier in that time period, especially with the move to the ACC.

Insane what we could have done and be doing in the ACC with good coaching.

I'll be honest here, I am very interested in seeing how JKS would do on a good team that just needs a QB. There's no point in wishing he would stay on a crappy team where he's running for his life.

Fernando made the right decision and it paid off in spades. JKS will have the opportunity to find a great fit and I think we all suspect that he will thrive next year elsewhere.

Reorg with Sebastabear as GM. We have a huge staff. Let go of everyone not on contract for next year. We have Ron and Tosh on long term contracts so Ron is acting HC, Tosh is acting DC and DL coach "co-HC" if needed (or ask them to step down "for the good of your Alma Mater"?). Spend the money on the best young OC anywhere or offensive minded HC from a lower level you can get. Let them bring in their OL coach, RB coach, WR coach, conditioning…. Then spend on NIL. Make them "co-HC" and then if they are successful they take over when Ron and Tosh's contracts expire.

That's a formula for a fist fight among grown men. Sounds like a politician's solution. Your third sentence was the right start, but you can't stop there. Before you hire someone, you have to have the resources to let them go, even the next day. The sooner you admit that you've made a mistake and are determined to correct it, the sooner you can get to prosperity.

Wasn't Sebasta one of the insiders pushing hard to hire Tosh?

Yes, he was. Or at least he was a mouthpiece for the decision once it was made by the whales. Of course, none of us plebs would know when the decision was made. We just know that Sebasta did promote the Tosh hire.
