Tedford is a great person and a very good football coach. He has brought a culture of winning, a strong work ethic, a life beyond football mentality, and given us a football program to be proud of.

We are getting new facilities. We haven't had major sanctions. Our talent level is top 25 consistently. Our men graduate. They win academic accolades. They are top representatives in the NFL.

Overall, I am proud of Tedford, his staff, the players and what they have accomplished. Now for the GOOD news. Michalczik, Gould, an Kiesau are going to finally bring back a 25+ point a game offense. Pendergast, Lupoi, Thompson, and Abrose are going to feature a smothering defense that will hold opposing teams to less than 13 points per game and score a few as well. Overall this is going to be a special season for Cal. Enjoy it and feel good, because next year will have some challenges.

We will lose Lupoi for a few years. Pendergast and Ambrose will be off to the NFL. This will leave our defense in flux. The offense will still be strong, but not enough to take us to a BCS bowl.

Have fun this season bears. A magical season that poor memorial won't be able to claim as its own.

2011 not sure, but I have high hopes for 2012-2014

He has already been getting offers and he is one more dominate season away from getting some midlevel HC and DC offers. Wilcox has been getting props as a top coordinator since leaving cal as LB coach. Lupoi is in a higher bracket and a much better recruiter.

I think/hope we will get him back in several years as DC/HC because he loves Cal.

I'm not so sure that we will lose Lupoi or Ambrose for that matter...they both like recruiting and working with the kids...and Lupoi is a Cal man through and through and bigger things could happen for him right here... You may be right about General Pendergast though....it might all depend on how we do the next couple of years...but I do have high hopes especially when Memorial reopens for 2012...that will be magical.....

agreed with expectations for 2012. 2011 will be a learning season, but the year after, if Coach does what he is being paid well to do, I "expect" great things.

15 points is a little over board, I would say 18 points per game, that said our offense needs to produce at least 24 per game

You underestimate how much Tedford values Lupoi and what he'll do to keep him here. I know nothing official has been announced, but steps have been made to ensure he's comfortable at Cal.

If Pendergast is not here much longer, if Lupoi wants to take a step up, I think we can all connect the dots as to the next logical move.

if anything, 2012 is supposed to be our best chance to win it all(if Keenan leaves after his junior season).
