I just got one from my brother in law, but I have no idea what it is.

my D-I-L is interning there this summer. Mrs BigAl is a former Yahooligan....

Can anyone help a brother out?

I don't believe people with the Google+ can hand out invites like they could with older Google products (Wave anyone?).

I believe the way it works is that people with the product can "invite people" by inputting their friends' emails. That does NOT mean they are automatically invited, all it means is that they're in line so when Google sends out their next wave of invites, they're more inclined to get one.

I can "add" anyone if they want to PM me their emails.

I believe that the current run of google+ slots are filled up, meaning that even if you were to get an invite, google would reject you until they launch the product for real. Why would you want to join a social network that most of your friends don't have access to anyway? :P

As cool as this stuff is, I think some people are so absorbed in this stuff that they have no ACTUAL social skills in person....LOL

I've got access and if you PM me with your email address I'll see if I can add you somehow. It's a workaround with sharing that seemed to work as of yesterday but I can't guarantee that it'll work today.

the workaround works today also. I tried it with two people, and they got access easily.
