The Student Section and the rest of the stadium were awesome that day. The singing done that day has never been duplicated (IMO). I remember reading about the lyrics the next day in the SJ Mercury News, in the "Action Line" column (!).

Those were the days.

Iirc (always a risky proposition) the lyrics were composed by Mike Pawlawski's girlfriend / eventual wife. Well, except for the bonus versions.

What is this VHS tape that you speak of?

I was in the band during that game, and I still get chills hearing the whole student sections ans many others singing. I was standing next to some Toejam band members (non-golf ball throwers) and they were shocked at being serenaded. On the field you could clearly hear the words, which is unusual when large crowds sing.

Yeah we're talking to you Brains! Put it up there already! :bear:

Total domination, at every position, on the field and in the stands (WTG Xultaif!!!) There were a lot of records on that day. For USC, it was probably the most points they've ever scored in trash time, getting up to 30 against our 2nd/3rd stringers. Thanks for the memories, coach Snyder and thanks PRD!

Ahhhh the Citrus Bowl.... My favorite game I have ever attended. I still have the T shirt and VHS video tape. Who would of thought it was our last New Years Day game after that glorious year for so long

AD Bob Bockrath wanted his own guy, he pretty much let Snyder go instead of giving him a reasonable raise.

Bob Bockrath is the worst college AD in the 20th century, he went on to wreck Alabama after nearly destroying ours.

xultaif, took a while to find it. What I heard was a very loud, "HEY SC, WHAT SCHOOL MUMBLE MUMBLE MUMBLE!" The "HEY SC, WHAT" part was pretty darn loud. Sorry, but I will pass on the upload.

I was there. It was my freshman year. Russell White looks faster in the clips than I remember.
