Well about 20 mins ago while randomly channel surfing I saw a live interview with Tedford on SportsCenter. I surely thought I would of been booth'd by now.

I saw it, too. It sounds like Tedford is doing his best to lead the team and is setting the bar high.

Good to see Coach Tedford gun-ho for the comming season! We're under the radar, so the team could focus on gameplay and not on pre-season new clippings.

all the PAC-XII teams. they have been interviewing each coach on different days.

I love how the clips on our dominant defense are all against UCLA.

I can't lie I am so f*cking juiced for this season to start. I really believe that our defense going to take a huge step forward and be unbelievable. I also think Maynard is going to show out and be a big upgrade from Riley. Is anybody else so ready for this season to start. ???

I kind of like that we're not even an afterthought in a lot people's minds. We got 'em just where we want them. I think we will shock at least one of Oregon, Furd, or $C, hopefully ruining their season.

How will the two division format affect the Rose Bowl race?

I think if Tedford was being honest he would have said

assuming Clancy sticks around, i think our defense in 2012 and 2013 will really be something. don't get me wrong, we'll be solid this year...but there is some tremendous talent waiting in the wings that will be acclimated to the college game a bit more by then and ready to really tear **** up.

You have a real pro in Chris Fowler who is knowledgeable about Cal giving Tedford one of the best opportunities to laud the team. I thought it was the best Jeff Tedford interview I've seen in a long time.

I too am stoked about the coming season; so much that I actually look forward to going to Candlestick and watching a game. FSU will be a good first step and test. A word to the team as they get ready for that first game ... no mercy from kickoff to last whistle. :chainsaw

Maybe it's just me, but JT comes off to me as being honest, somebody who I think speaks the truth. Compare him to Kelly, Kiffin, Les Miles, Nick Saban among others. There are probably better coaches in the PAC12 and better recruiters but I don't think their is a coach in our conference with more integrity. As a long time CAL fan, over fifty years, I have lived through all the years of mediocrity and a few with near greatness. Like everyone else here I want see us in the Rose Bowl. Can he get us there? If he can keep us in the top twenty in recruiting every year and bring in a quality QB it just might happen before I die!

Chris Fowler is so good. He brings out the best in Jeff. The relaxed and well informed style of Fowler shows you how important talent is in making a sports network fly off the handle like ESPN has. That was as good as you'll ever see Jeff with the press. if he really means what he say's I'm starting to get pumped about the season. The interview also shows how none of the coaches know how this new conference is going to play out with the BCS. I hope that's something we have to worry about at the end of the first PAC 12 season.
