Correct --- Because the only way we could play them would be in the Conterence Championsip Game, since they are the only conference member we don't have scheduled (altho' CU is a non-league game).

even though Furd is our archrival---we've had their number 7 out 10 (I think this is wrong) in tedford era...and I was increasingly becoming pissed that we couldn't be USC...

Any other year, the answer would easily be the Furd. But, for just this year, beating Arizona would mean the first ever Pac-12 champion and likely being the only team to play all other 11 members of the Pac-12 in one season.

Why not Colorado? Our currently existing game isn't against them as conference foes.

Because the ONLY way we can play Arizona is in the Conference Championship Game, where we could play Colorado in our second game OR the Conference Championship Game.

The question asked which "conference foe" we would want to guarantee a win against. Colorado isn't a conference foe during our second game. My point is, there are two teams in the p12south that we don't play in conference.
