Cal-Colorado on DISH?

I just upped my monthly DISH bill today to the America 120+ package, because their website told me this would enable me to get channel 409 and therefore see the game on Saturday. However, after checking the program guide on my TV after making this change, channel 409 doesn't even show up and the Cal-Colorado game doesn't show up either when I do a search of college football games on Saturday.

I have some vague memories of previous years (when I also had the more expensive DISH channel packages) when games wouldn't show up on the program guide but then would suddenly appear around game time the day of. Is that what's going on here? Can any fellow DISH customers give me some guidance?

Where do you live? If you live in NorCal/Reno area, in that package you should get the game on CSNCA as one of your two local sports channels, CSNBA/419 and CSNCA/409.

If you live out of that area, you will have to add the Sports Package to get those channels. I believe the package is $6.95/mo extra.

That's the bad news. Good news is that you can cancel the S/P after the month. However, I think that other Cal games will likely be on either CSNBA or CSNCA later in the season.

Actually, the best thing to do is get the NFL Red Zone channel at $7/month and you get all the CSNCA/Fox sports channels as part of the package. Cancel at the end of the football season. Repeat.

I'm in the Bay Area and am getting channel 419. The game isn't showing up on the program guide, so they probably just haven't updated it. Thanks!

I have DISH in LA and my program guide shows Cal vs. Colorado on channel 409 from 12:30-3:30 (and in HD!). Ready to go. Less than 29 1/2 hours to kick-off!

I have it programmed to record (DISH) -- I think on 419, but maybe 409.

I had to add the Sports Pack for $7/mo, which was waived until January. This gives me 409 for last week's game and Colorado.

Game is NOT on 419 (CSNBA). It is on 409 (CSNCA). That's why you don't see it there.

Like L.A., NorCal gets TWO sports channels to cover the multiple teams.
Up here we get Comcast Sports Net Bay Area and Comcast Sports Net California. Cal appears on both, but mainly, it seems, on CSNCA, especially in basketball.

Good luck!

Well, actually, you get the Red Zone as part of the Sports Package, not the other way around.

In any event, the effect is the same. Its $7/mo to get both. That RZ is the greatest thing on Sundays, especially for blacked out Raider fans.
