The Beaver believers have now turned into the Beaver Grievers. Thank God! They may get us a bowl bid the way they are playing. No quaterback spells big trouble.

Indeed. The Beavs have hit a Cal-like cycle where they've got guys who are purportedly talented but don't seem to have the 'it' factor when it comes to game day.

If I were an osu fan I would be tired of it. Every year they start off a stinkin pile form3-5 games then they rally to where they're pretty good by the end of the season. But by that point the losses have accumulated.

I don't think they are going to come back in the 2nd half of the season. As others have said, not having a QB = death in PX conference play. We oughta know...

I think it has far more to do with the fact that half their team appears to be injured. Their best WR, RB, TE, DT, OT are all injured. They are playing 3 (now 4 after the injury to Andrews) walk-on's on their offensive line for crying out loud. While I agree with the popular sentiment that OSU won't be that good this year, they will certainly be a lot healthier by the time we play them.

However, Dylan Wynn from De La Salle is playing great for a true freshman in Camp Randell.

PAC 12 looks weak so far. Could be good for us

Mike Riley always finds a way to kick our collective @rses. Until we can beat them let's be careful what we say. Lockerroooooooooooooom.

If we don't beat them this year we are f*cking sad. They are unadulterated trash.

You are correct, sir, Cal really owes this program a world class whipping this season

This is key, as nostalgic as I am for a return of the '70's Beavers. I doubt we are fortunate enough to face such a depleted Beaver team. Oh and the much-maligned Mannion will most likely play like an All-American against us.

Yeah, we got issues....most of them injury related. Playing a lot of young guys....not quite ready to declare them 70s and 80s bad yet though.

On the bright side for us....Mannion (who's from down your way I believe...) IS going to be a solid QB. Reminds a lot of Canfield, now in the NFL.....Riley just needs to stick with him now. Once Rogers and Halahuni return, rumored to be for UCLA game, they'll be okay...but still, a 4-5 win season looks likely.

I'll be down there for the Cal game....expecting to lose, but who knows....riley definitely seems to have Tedford's #.

It means they'll only beat us by 1 score this time.
