I wa going to post this weeks ago but never got around to it. Madden football games are all popular as they get tons of alumni student recruit kids adults etc play it.

Me being me I play with the Packers bc arod.

Well if your ever the packers on your first play the announcers always say "now taking the field Aaron Rodgers from uc Berkeley"

Im a madden pro and have played tons of games. Not 1 other qb/school have anything similar. In fact I can't recall 1 NCAA ever being mentioned

This got me pumped but I'm also a geek so whatevas

Just wondering any cal grads workin 4 ea?

That has got to be a Cal grad who put that in there and it was probably a computer science type who always associated the name, "UC Berkeley" with the school and never "Cal". I have a friend who will say something like, "USC is playing UC Berkeley" next week. He's not a CS major though.

There are tons. It's like asking if there are any Stanford grads who work at google.

That's odd. On my system it said, "Now taking the field, Aaron Rodgers from Butte Community College".

I almost threw the machine out the window.

Nothing wrong with UC Berkeley....it's commonly accepted.

Not when referring to athletic teams.

Madden grew up a Cal fan. He and childhood buddy John Robinson used to travel over from Daly City and take in the games from Tightwad Hill.

Those were some incredible days for Bay Area football. I have a friend who tells a story about how he and his wife met Otis Sistrunk at a hotel pool where the Raiders were staying. At one point Kenny Stabler appeared at the other end of the pool and Sistrunk, in a kind of quiet, hushed and reverent tone said "There's the man!"

ive heard that after games back in the day the team would have wild hotel parties with fans. a former raider kr/wr named rick jennings was the one who told me of such parties
