Unless the Big-12 collapses in an exodus merger with the Big East remnants that leaves Texas in a desperate position, Oklahoma should make its move really soon...

I think they should ditch Okie State and move to the Big 10. If that happens, Mizzou and A&M to the SEC, and the Big 12 and Big East merge. ND either has to go to the ACC for hoops only, or bite the bullet with the Big 10.

Okie has already put out a press release announcing that they plan to stay in the Little9 and work for its "stability". They are hosed. They have no options (SEC won't take Okie Lite). Feel kinda sorry for them, but what can you do?

If the SEC is putting out feelers for Missouri and West Virginia, I think they will be fine with Oklahoma State...

David Boren, their President hates the SEC with the intensity of a million suns.. his wish was always to align with the Cal's and Furd's of the world before he was too old to realize his dream.....his 2nd choice is to work it out...after all, they are still kings in that conference for the most part...and will kick Texas' a$$ all over the field this year....like they usually do

I can't imaging OK in the SEC.

They want to be in a conference they have a chance to dominate.

That won't happen in the SEC.

Oklahoma and Texas need each other more than anyone else. They will stay together for the kids ($).

I'll admit that I am a little surprised. You would think that Scott would have polled his members before last night, and Ok would have had some assurances before it made such strong demands to Tx.

Unless both moves were bluffs to try and get more concessions out of Texas.

I wonder if Oklahoma was really serious about leaving, with or without Texas, or all this was just smoke screen to renegotiate with Texas. In either case it was fun dreaming about a P16 super-conference for a while. But I'm perfectly happy to stay with the P12. We got what we need (that awesome TV deal). Now focus on enhancing the lives of our student athletes and their sports.
