Does anyone have a good idea how to leave parking lot A immediately after the game and avoid the congestion around the stadium and on 3rd st. etc. Can one drive West and get to a freeway or drive West far enough to get to a street that leads to Harrison?

I leave the back way and get to Mariposa. Cross 3rd and you can get to a south 280 onramp easily. Not sure if you are going to the eastbay or south. You can also go south on 3rd and get to a northbound ramp I think.

If you want to go to the Bay Bridge:

You could go the other way on 3rd St., then take a right on Mariposa and a left onto the 280 South. At that point, you could get on 101 South and turn around at the Cow Palace exit and follow signs for 101 North.

Conversely, at the point you got on 280 South, instead of getting on 280 South, keep heading on 3rd Street. Take a right on Cesar Chavez Blvd., which runs into the 101 North. You should be able to handle it from there.

The second option is probably easiest.


If you want to go South, just get on 280 South at Mariposa as above and get on 101 South.

Exit right onto Terry Francois Blvd. You will drive along the water where the "yacht" clubs (I kid you not) are located. You will also pass the Mission Rock grill where Kate and the Cupper are doing the post-game show. Approx.1/2 mile you will see signs directing you to the freeway(s). You cross 3rd at that point.

You'll be on the freeway in no time. Avoid 3rd from Lot A at all costs!
