But here I'm writing just in hopes of finding a reader who best fits some specific needs:

a) a huge Cal fan,

b) a regular reader of this website, and

c) a major user of Facebook and Twitter who understands how those services could be used to communicate with the universe of Cal fans.

No way is this a "job offer" - none of us staffers earn more than nominal honorariums for our work here - so this idea can only be (realistically) of interest to those who have the time and economic space to contribute to the Cal fan community.

I know y'all think that I'm knee deep in social media.

But I'm not.

Admittedly, I follow about 400 people and check Twitter obsessively throughout the day (because, in part, I have to due to the nature of my work forcing me to be on top of things throughout the day).

But on the other end, I send on average about 1 tweet every 2 months.

And I barely use Facebook.

So I'm not well-versed in social media, at least not in the communications aspect. I'm an expert, however, at consuming social media.

Also, I have no time.

But I do love Twitter.

Today I learned that a major Cal Athletics donor brought snow yesterday to San Francisco:

Whoa. Who are the hotties? I also nominate Okaydo for Social Chair.

Meg Whitbrain and HP offered me $12 and hour, but old Larry "send the yacht" Ellison said he would only pay $6 an hour....

The Bachelor is filming in the Bay Area.

The actual Bachelor owns a winery in Sonoma.

As I've noted before, the creator of The Bachelor, Mike Fleiss, is a former Daily Cal sports editor.

In fact, to rehash, one of my last tweets was to ask him, via Twitter, if he donates to Cal football.

So think of it this way: All those hotties -- and there are more of them, in bikinis, just scroll down -- are actually benefiting Cal football.

I have no idea, but the assistant sports editor when Mike Fleiss was the Daily Cal's sports editor was Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports, who is one of the most shameless Cal fans out there and a lifelong friend of Fleiss'.
