on XM radio. The feed was the Utah broadcast. They just about threw themselves out of the press box when they learned Wynn would not return to the game. They described the back up as a lightly recruited guy from a JC program that emphasizes the run. The guy had really modest JC stats. The Utah O went nowhere fast with Wynn out. When the Utes moved the ball on their last drive of the game, the broadcast team was quick to point out the only reason that was happening was due to the Huskies prevent defense. The broadcasters were speculating (hoping) Wynn could be back soon since the injury was to his non-throwing shoulder. Doesn't look that way.
Best moment of the broadcast was when one of the Huskies knocked the crap out of one of the Utah players. Just before the play, they ran a commercial for a personal injury law firm that one of the color commentators works for. As the Utah player lay on the turf in pain, without missing a beat one of the broadcasters said to the color-commentator/attorney, "hey Rahim, we might have a new client for you."
BTW, Utah gave this game away before Wynn went out with two first half TO's deep in Husky territory. It was a little funny listening to the Utah broadcasters go on-and-on about how there is no margin for error in the Pac-12. They called Polk possibly the best back in the league and kept talking about how UW's Dline is considered below average yet they looked so good against the Utes. Reality strikes! Boise would be less the darling if they had to play a Pac-12 schedule, too. The big fish from the small ponds think they deserve a BCS bowl because they upset one good every year. But, having to face big time competition every week is something totally different.
