"Played well in the first half, but just didn't execute in the second"

If he actually says we won the first half... Well, I just don't know what to do but wait out his contract.

I know what to do....put together the DVD collectors' pack! 2nd half vs. USC 2010, and now 1st half vs. Oregon 2011! Just in time for the holidays.

Wouldn't it be great if JT gave a speech like this instead?

Our line did a good job, and our running game looked good. Oregons a tough team. We went into halftime leading. We just didnt execute in the second half.Well review the tape and get ready to play USC.

thoughts? from calbears.com:
"Each time out is a learning experience. We'll take a look at the tape and see how we can improve and how we can help as coaches. Like I told the team, we all share responsibility in this. We need to coach better, put them in a good position to be successful and everyone is responsible for it. We'll take some good things away. We didn't win the football game, but there are always some good things and you have to recognize the good things."
I was right, "we need to look at the tape".
this is no longer a "learn on the job" position. JT has had 10 yrs to "learn" how to get the best from his players, adjust at the half, out coach the other coach. where the hell does it end if he can't get it right year after year?
just man up, and say, "I, we, haven't done our job against the better teams. Screw the tape and cliches, no team will work harder than us for the rest of the year. I guarantee that. We will no longer get blown out like this ever again. We will do that to the others."
if he ever said that, I'd be back on the Cal wagon in a heartbeat. show some damn passion and I'll follow.
