They often say college football games come down to 1 play that define the game/change the momentum/lead to the outcome...regardless of the score. When we got blown out in Oregon in 2009 it was when we fumbled right after recovering a fumble which just domino-ed on the team. What about this year? Here's my crack at it:

Fresno - 23 yard reception by Keenan Allen as the first completion after Maynards game opening interception.

Colorado - two of them. Moment 1: the late hit call on Guyton that was terrible. Moment 2: the pass to Keenan Allen in overtime on 1st and forever.

Presby - N/A

Washington - roughing the passer call giving Washington breathing room instead of being 3rd and long deep in their territory.

Oregon - Bigelow takes a kick off after Oregon takes the lead in the second half at the 5 yard line when its about to go out of bounds to put Cal on the 40 yard line...and then bobbles it leaving us deep in our own territory.

Anyone got any others?

Oregon: Q3 gives me dejavu of the final 9 mins of 2010. They run it downhill on us and we can do nothing to stop them. They get each first down at will and we look helpless.

It's like a video game. You find one move (eg button mashing) that your opponent can't solve and you do that all day.

I vote for N/A like Presby. We played well for a while but superior talent and a superior system won. No surprises in a 28 point loss.

First series of the 3rd. Oregon wasn't playing their normal fast style. It was slow and physical...we couldn't stop it

That was a really unfortunate play. Bigs has no confidence right now.

Not sure about this one since Isi almost got u back to 40 with a big run.

I think had GT made the FG at the end the Half, it could have been different, who knows.

Yeah it was an unfortunate play...and really was just the tipping point in the momentum of the game. They went out on offense and did what they were supposed to to start the half as could be expected...but right away going back and having terrible starting field position for Cal fired up their defense and sort of finished off any chance we had at negating the momentum or shifting it back in our direction.

What halted our momentum was the stupid decision to go for two after the touchdown.

(I can't say that's what caused us to get outscored 29-0 in the 2nd half, however.)

I think losing Anthony left us too young at the corner and they exploited it. We lost all the momentum on their first TD drive in the second half. Tedford still is hurting us in the red zone with too many runs. Oregon's defense was the big difference in the second half, and our defensive line got worked big time in the second half - absolutely blown away actually.

he just wasn't "in the game" EVER - the D kept Cal close for a while (should of / could of been longer, right Clancy?) - Maynard doused / squandered any chance Cal had in this game - I have never seen such a dismal performance from a QB (other than UCLA QBs) in a major conference contest - "accuracy" and Maynard should never be used in the same sentence
