This is not meant to be sunshine-pumping, consolation, or any excuse to be OK with the outcome of the game. I left Qualcomm as disappointed and frustrated as anyone else.

Having said that, I can't remember who it was, but I heard someone (I believe it was one of the reporters) speak at an event earlier this year and he commented that you would be thrilled if your daughter was dating any one of the players on the team. He said that this is a team of truly great kids. I got a chance to meet and chat briefly with Marc Anthony at the team hotel and in those few minutes, I could tell that if Marc is representative of the players, the statement was true. He was absolutely delightful, just as every player I've had the pleasure of meeting over the Tedford era.

When I see reports of other team's players in trouble, getting arrested, accused of not-so-good activities; I wouldn't trade our players for any other team's.

I am immensely proud of the kids on this team.

He's seem like a class act, but wait, he is good also. Wish our qb was like that.

I rave about Cal to anyone who listens and even though I'm frustrated with JT and our recent records in the last several years, most everything else is pretty positive.....

I sat next to Dasarte Yarnway and Tyre' Ellison at the Holiday Bowl Luncheon on Tuesday and talked with both of them. I was impressed with both young men, who were very humble and pleasant to talk with. They are, indeed, very fine representatives of our university and football program. I just wish we had coaches who could do a better job of developing their skills and providing the kids and the fans with more success on the field. I'm happy that we're one game closer to football life without Tedford.
