Kaddu? offer? It is not just a miss on one guy. Half that duck D just about is from Norcal. Plenty of poor talent evaluation the last few years by Tedford & staff. It wasn't just the tree sitters that caused the talent drop off.

I would not trade Cal's defensive personnel for Oregon's. Oregon won this game with its offense. The defense for the most part did not stop Wisconsin except for a few times. I think Cal has a great future with its defense, especially if Shaq and Arik and maybe even Azziz sign on, not to mention the red shirts from this year.

I don't see where we would be better off with him. He can be counted on for personal fouls and questionable play.<br /><br />Make that Boyett.

I believe Hill was the safety prospect, and he has been fine. Anthony was also not a miss.<br /><br />Boyett was not highly regarded coming out of college; he has developed well at Oregon. Kudos to him.

This is a ridiculous thread. First, there are scholarship limits. You can't take every prospect that might pan out. There are going to be LOTS of players that pan out that you just don't have room to take, and every program has players that don't work out. Then there are also other schools competing with you for their services, so you can't even get every player you do want. That's college football for you. Second, Oregon's defense isn't better than Cal's. Cal's D recently has been nothing to complain about - it's been quite good. That doesn't suggest to me their talent evaluation is off. I don't understand the complaint. If you're going to complain, at least complain about the teams real weakness - the offense. Let's stop making up reasons to complain.

I have a very hard time believing their offense is only good because of a couple of players, especially with the way they've sustained that success over the last few years, despite the normal turnover of college football.
