Okay, I'm not sure if the BI police will allow me to provide details, but there is going to be a Live Chat with 5 star WR Stefan Diggs from Olney, MD (I used to live near there...) at a competitor's website in a few minutes.

Please give me ideas for questions or comments to help convince the stud that there's no better place for him than the University of California Golden Bears.

Ask him if he knows about Zach Kline and how awesome he is.

Armstead is having his own chat at the same time. I'm hoping someone can spy on that and report back!

They picked my question first, but reworded it considerably:

10:00
Comment From Tom
How was your visit to Cal? Where do they stand as of now in your recruitment?

10:00
Stefon Diggs: It was great, mostly. I had a good time. Felt comfortable with the coaching staff and the players. Definitely somewhere I can see myself.

Diggs says he doesn't plan on announcing until After Signing Day.

He also named Tosh as one of the coaches he likes best, along with Locksley at MD and some guy named Trooper at Auburn.

He says Cal and USC are recruiting him the hardest. And Auburn, and Florida...

Any plans to take an official visit to Notre Dame?

Stefon Diggs: Undecided. That's one reason I'm signing after signing day, to take my time.

....Anything particular you are looking for in a college offense?

Stefon Diggs: Get the ball to your playmakers mostly. Let them do what they do best. Some that are like a family. A family bond.

....Do you have have someone that you like to model your game after?

Stefon Diggs: Everybody looks at me kind of like Desean Jackson but I want to say I'm a little bit bigger than him. He might be a little bit faster. Other than that I like Ochocinco's footwork and Brandon Marshall.

I like this advice he provides to other high schoolers:

Go to a lot of combines. It gets you a lot of exposure early when you go to combines young. It depends what position you play. If you're a receiver, run track. If you're a running back, lift weights.

He certainly should take whatever time he needs but this really doesn't help teams plan on leaving spaces open or taking someone else etc......

He says 90% of his decision is going to be the ability where he can play right away.

This is hilarious. Someone asked about Oregon's Rose Bowl helmets:

I felt they were pretty. I always like Oregon but I always had a bad feeling about Oregon because it's like football. You shouldn't be wearing too many colors. I like not plain, but at the same time you shouldn't be wearing highlight green.

Smart. I just might do the same. Why be in a hurry if you are still going to be accepted to everywhere. Especially if he hasn't had a chance to meet everyone, travel everywhere, get to know the various schools. If he hasn't yet made up his mind, what's the hurry. Lesser players need to lock up their scholarship offer before someone else takes it. Not a 5-star.

He's the kind of prospect that can pick whoever he wants, whenever he wants.

I know we as fans want to know as soon as its possible, but I think he mentioned that he still has some visits to take. Sounds like he's spacing them out.

I'm really impressed by the way he conducted his chat and how he answered questions. I assume someone edits his responses like the questions are editted, but he comes across as a very thoughtful recruit who is making a decision based on many, many factors. Maybe I just really like the way he answered the OU helmet question...

Here's hoping Tosh does his thing.

Hell, I didn't know what I was doing for college until Spring time. I don't know how these kids figure it all out so soon! With so much more at stake.

Who knows what he's thinking, ya know? It's not unreasonable to take your time and not be in a hurry and make sure you've seen everything you want to see, though.

Not too familiar with the rules but if we leave a scholarship open for a recruit who decides to commit elsewhere and thus fail to fill that spot, would we be able to fill that spot with an EE the following year?

There will always be a space for someone like him at any school. There is always one or two attrition, which often are filled with schollies for walk-ons but can be used in this situation.
