He didn't become a starter, but was a backup as I recall. They want to reward kids that graduate, and not make them sit out like that. Makes all the sense in the world. There should be more favorable things for students. Like PAYING them.

I recall us playing that look against ASU because we were so thin at OLB with both McCain and Wilkerson out. Either way, CP will get these talented guys on the field. He has done that throughout the year, including getting a fair amount of time for some true frosh. If you have the riches, no point hoarding it up on the sidelines.

One is a grayshirt from last year who is counting for this one in Jordan Morgan.<br /><br />That would leave us with 9 left, because the NCAA max in one year is 25.<br /><br />HOWEVER, because we didn't fill our full 25 last year, we can use those unused spots if kids enroll early (EE). The deadline to do that is Jan. 17. Zach Kline and Christian Okafor are likely EEs.<br /><br />That brings the number up from 9 to 11 because Kline and Okafor will count toward LAST YEAR'S 25.<br /><br />Now if Arik Armstead commits, he'll also be an EE because he wants to play basketball, as stated on the front page. He would count toward last year's 25 total as well and keep the max number we can bring in at 11.<br /><br />With Arik Armstead counted as an EE and in, here's my 11:<br /><br />1. Thompson<br />2.
