Arik went down to #2 player in the nation, Shaq went up to #3, and Bryce went up (?) to #43. DGB is somehow #1 even tho he sucked in the AA game except for one good catch.

And don't forget that was obvious PI on that play, too! <img src="<img src="<img src="<img src="<img src="" />" />" />" />"><br /><br />Seriously, though, if Armstead pulls the trigger for Cal, it'll be pretty ridiculous for Cal to have the #2 and 3 players on one service.<br /><br />Also, it's important to note that all 3 services have player rankings pretty much all over the map with the exception of DGB, which means there's a list of about the top 100 guys, and you can rate them pretty much however you want and not necessarily be wrong. While I don't consider Scout rankings to be particularly strong, it's just another data point.<br /><br />Armstead, Thompson, McCarthy,Treggs, and a lot more guys are going to be very good for Cal. We didn't need Scout to tell us this.

If Tags and Powe aren't bumped up to 4 stars something is off. We'll see when the rest of the rankings are released.

Darius Powe didn't crack the Scout 300. Even after being one of the top performers in the Under Armor All American game/practices, Darius Powe is still ranked the <b>#106</b> WR in the nation. They must not have looked to redo the rankings of players they originally rated that low. Same for Hardy Nickerson as a 2-star. <br /><br />Kline got a nice bump from #12 QB to #4 QB. #123 in the nation. Apparently the knock on Kline is his accuracy. <br /><br />Shaq is rated as the <b>#3 OVERALL</b> player in the nation! Highest Scout-rated Cal commit in the Tedford era. <br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Several recruits had slight changes which were probably more due to other players being bumped up or down:<br /><br />McCarthy went from #3 DT to #2 DT.<br /><br />Treggs went from #6 WR to #5 WR. <br /><br />Tagaloa went from #40 OT to #39 OT. Still a 3-star. <br /><br />Steven Moore went from #54 OT to #53 OT. <br /><br />Jordan Payton dropped from #13 WR to #15 WR.<br /><br />Okafor dropped from #32 OT to #34 OT. <br /><br />Dozier dropped from #23 CB to #24 CB.<br /><br />Barton dropped from #18 OLB to #19 OLB.<br /><br />Hoffpauir dropped from #31 S to #32 S.

How can Powe be a Top 100 player on ESPN and ranked as the 109th receiver by Scout. I struggle to understand that level of variance. It seems to me like Scout is quickly losing credibility.

true, but even w/ them, we are the only Pac-12 school w/ any 5* commits (and we have 3 plus consideration from 5 others).
