I worked at summerbridge last year as a workshop leader/english tutor, and I had the pleasure of being able to work with both Joel and Brendan Bigelow. Today I ran into Joel (who redshirted) and we spent a few minutes talking and catching up.

The main point of this post is to tell you guys that the coaches are going to convert him to WR (he told me they were experimenting with that last summer too, before he redshirted). Anyway, straight from the horse's mouth, some sort of inside news, haha. I guess considering that some of the WR's might decommit (Payton...) this might help soften the blow a bit.

He seems a bit bummed out over Tosh too, who was his main recruiter (this part is for staying on topic).

Hmm, that's interesting given that we're bringing in a lot of WR talent (even if we lose Payton) and that we don't yet have a CB in this recruiting class, and are still relatively light at that position depth wise.

The kid's an athlete though so I don't necessarily have much doubt it could work.

interesting, considering their isn't that much depth in the DB ranks pending McClure's recovery. Irregardless of Payton et. al. final decisions, this adds depth to the WR corp for spring ball...

Yeah, there's a chance it might not stick (my speculation, not his words) but I wanted to share anyway. We have enough bad news as it is.
