It is a dirty game and a lot of money at stake for the institutions and coaches, and the players are getting played the worst by people like Lupoi. That being said, I hate the institutions and coaches like hell. Send your **** water to Sark and Lupoi, and not at an 18-year old choosing where to go to college.

As far as I'm concerned, some of those recruits could use some negative feedback, to even out their egos just a tad. I have no problem with what you're doing - Twitter's a big place.<br /><br />Hey, all's fair, right? These guys spend months playing their followers like fools, then we're supposed to defend them when some of the followers get p*ssed and show them some well-earned negative feedback? Please. <br /><br />I don't think we should encourage it, and I'd personally advise "don't stoop to their level," for your own sake, but honestly, some of these prima donnas deserve to have their egos bruised a little and I don't feel the slightest bit bad about that.

Nah. Shaq can suck it. Prima donna played his followers and gets a little Twitter karma. All's fair.

And what level is that? All I saw Shaq do, was express confusion with a life-changing decision. Has he talked trash about Cal or Tedford? Did he kick your dog?<br /><br />I don't know if you wavered while choosing your college... but surely you've faced difficult decisions before? Choosing a career? Choosing a job? Choosing a spouse? Did the employer you passed on choose to call you and taunt you, telling you that he expected you to fail in life?

I have to disagree. This country was engaged in two long wars. War is war. Recruiting is recruiting. Ask your fellow student veterans to see if they can make a comparison.

Cal just peaked (early January), at a time when the other Pac-12 schools were in a bad way. ASU, Arizona, UCLA, and WSU all were replacing head coaches, UW was replacing some coaches and U$C was, well, limited. In an ordinary year the top CA talent would get distributed amongst all those school in uneven amounts. And sure enough, once the new coaches settled in, the talent spread out. This year, the issue with our coaches going to UW screwed things up, but my argument is this was already a weird year.

Strong season, 1/2 the conference with coaching staffs in flux, they just kept quiet and are pulling in the Hogs. Gawd it pains me to look at their OL recruits.
