Don't we have D'Amato as the placekicker? I also think we have a walk-on as a back-up (Calder).

Calder was a freshman last year as PK.

Seems in past practice reports that Barnett boomed punts equal to those of Anger. I wasn't worried about the punting game next year as a result. He must have been in somebody's doghouse since they recruited a punter.

I'd discount reports that Barnett's punts equaled Anger's in practice. In the pre-game warm-ups I witnessed in Seattle, Anger was consistently kicking 10 or more yards with greater height. They were easy to compare as they were kicking side by side with most punts in the air at the same time.

Sounds like he was told he wasn't getting a scholarship.

If that's the case, not sure why we don't offer him a 1-year schollie. We have plenty of them left to give.... :p Would be a good insurance policy to have him around another year IMO....
