Avery Sebastian and Lupoi got me thinking about whether it'd be worth using a scholarship on a highly charismatic kid who can recruit really well? Maybe someone not quite good enough on the football end but can be asked to spend their time on social media hitting up recruits instead.

It would be tough to project how well a kid recruits, but I would have used a schollie on Combs, Jr. I think thats the closest comparison. He's not completely unrated, probably because of his name, but he brings in a possible huge donor and buzz.

On the flipside, I can't wait to see what kind of violations they get hit with later.

I'd give a scholarship for this recruiter..

Guys who play are big recruiters in more ways then one. A guy who doesn't see the field can be personable, sure, but top recruits have respect for top players and want to be in with them. See Bryce Treggs twittering with Marvin Jones about "teach me everything you know." You're better off taking a guy with a better chance to develop into a contributor than a guy who's personable but won't play. If you want a personable guy who won't see the field, save the scholly and have someone like that on staff.
