Hint: see the stats of all qb's that played against Washington last year. That will put those numbers in perspective.
You are missing the point which was Maynard had a decent outing.

Has it ever crossed your mind that it was NOT in JT's interest to make a "deal with the devil"? No receiver, no matter how good, is worth the price of having to play a bad QB. And what kind of deal would this be? That Keenan Allen would transfer the minute his brother is no longer the starter? Is that in KA's interest?QUOTE]
It has not only crossed my mind, but was the default thought for JT. I kept asking myself why a guy with such high moral standards would do such a thing. Couldn't be.
I kept denying the possibility as more and more evidence piled up. And, JT kept starting him and playing him exclusively. But, when a guy keeps going against form again and again (JT's passion for error-free play), you can't not wonder.
Another possibility is ego. Does JT think he can coach any player into greatness?
The weak OL/escapability factor is there, but only to a small extent. ZM's maneuverability at Buffalo was about what we saw last year - underwhelming. JT couldn't have looked at the Buffalo tapes and seen an Elway in that respect.
In fact, his play last year turned out to be about what we saw at Buffalo, overall. Thus, further validating the point I've been making all along - he is what he is: fearless, inventive but not that skilled. Expect more of the same this year. He might get to 60%, but only with padding from the easy games.

I don't disagree with your point but I was wondering what easy games you're referring to. Next year we have one easy game against Southern Utah and ASU may have a down year because they lost a lot of seniors to graduation. Are there any others?

We likely beat Nevada at home also.
Oregon State should be a win but it's away so you never know with us. Personally I think we easily beat Washington at home with a competent QB (read: not Mansion). The new coach games are up in the air since we don't know what they bring to the table but I trust us beating Wazzu pretty easily still unless Leach is a miracle worker and I like us against UCLA at home. Especially since I think Mora won't continue to run the Pistol (could be wrong on this).
