Just a thought: a "genius" who coached for years across the Bay had an interesting approach to play calling. He scripted the first 25 or 35 plays of the game, come hell or high water (excepting punts, field goals). It clearly worked. As we have a Tedford playbook that has been nearly impossible for our QBs to absorb (from AR to now), why not? Less pressure, more precision.

The other advantage is that there is no need to huddle, just line up and run the next play. Hopefully go up a couple TDs before the other team knows what hit them.

Uhhh, Tedford is a WCO disciple. I'm pretty sure he does exactly what you suggest every game.

Tedford has stated in the past that the first series of plays are generally scripted. It's a fairly common practice.

Pretty sure Walsh only scripted 15 plays - 25 or 35 could get to halftime. Heck, 15 plays could take us 3+ drives the way our offense has gone of late!

I believe Walsh did have 25 scripted plays. I think it was Holmgren (the first OC under Seifert), who cut it back to 15.

"Hello McFly!"

I've been calling plays my way. I see no reason to change my
big white play chart because it's really cool to carry around
and, on occasion, throw on the ground!"
