BERKELEY - Fans of all ages are invited to join the Cal Family in experiencing Cal Spring Football on Saturday, April 21. The free event is part of Cal Day festivities on campus and will take place at Edwards Stadium located adjacent to the corner of Fulton Street and Bancroft Way in Berkeley. Gates open at 10 a.m., with the team's workout slated to begin at 11 a.m.

Fans will have a unique opportunity to experience the only spring workout of the year open to the general public, as well as meet Golden Bear players and coaches during an autograph session following practice.

The Cal Athletics Ticket Sales and Service team will be on hand to provide information and answer questions about 2012 Cal football season tickets and the Memorial Stadium renovation.

Additional activities slated for the event are scheduled to include ...

Interactive games and contests
Appearances by other Cal Athletics teams and Cal Spirit Groups
Kids activities (bounce house, poster making, fan photos in Cal football uniforms)

With a large crowd expected for Cal Day, parking on the campus and in the immediate area is expected to be at a premium. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and/or take public transportation, with the Downtown Berkeley BART station just one block west of Edwards Stadium.
