I thought it was here somewhere, but I couldn't find it via searching...

How many gates will there be at our new CMS? And will there be restrictions on entering through gates based upon seat location (section)?

As I contemplate seat selection (I'm on the clock in 12 hours), I might select seats further south, but would like to enter CMS more toward the north or west side...

The recent history of gate entry (in the last 25+ years) is that they generally don't care as long as you have a valid ticket. I don't see a reason why that would change, even with the SAHPC construction necessitating a reconfiguration of West Side gates.

Indeed, the West Side Plaza is wide enough to allow mass movement from north to south. And there is a staircase leading from the Plaza itself up to the level of the gate at the South End (essentially outside Sections K & KK.

Based on the schematics contained in Exhibit A of the SEIR, I would anticipate two gates at the North End:
  • Gate 1 outside Sections AA & B where the bulk of Gold Zone seat holders will probably enter and is oriented for entering the stadium at that point in the West Wall,
  • Gate 2 a little further south outside Sections BB & C oriented in such a way to encourage fans to walk southward along the Plaza

On the West Side, there are two entries to the SAHPC that may have restricted entry for Benchback and ESP seat holders; it's not clear that these entry points will be used at all. Further along the West Side, you can climb a staircase and make a 180 degree turn to your left that will bring you to a Gate (Gate 5?) at a point approximately outside Sections H & HH.

If you continue climbing the pathway that leads to the Prospect Parking Lot, there will be a gate on your left (Gate 6?) that's outside Sections K & KK.

FS, was hoping you'd chime-in... Thank you.

I heard back from a Bear Backers contact:

"No. You can enter from anywhere. There will likely be a suggested gate that’s closest to your ticket location, but any ticket can go in any gate."

Good news. I select in about 1 hour...

It should be a lot easier circulating the inner concourse from north to south because they are much wider, there is the Simpson Center patio outside where people can walk north/south instead of inside, and ESP seats will have access from their respective clubs and not the main concourse.

Don't forget that there will be about 6,000 fewer seats in the Benchback and ESP sections compared to the same sections in 2010. All of the factors you cited plus 38.5% fewer seats on the West Side between the goal lines makes a huge difference.

Indeed. Coming from Hearst, with my pop in his 70's, I'd want to enter fairly soon (less foot traffic)...

Well, I actually secured two sets of 4 tickets (primary and back-up). At the moment they can't be 100% certain the rendering will reflect actual construction when complete. Sort of sucks...
