It's so exciting to see the Stadiumcam working again.

Yesterday, I saw that my seats had the benches installed. Today I see the vertical bars that will hold the bench-backs.

And you can now see the lights being installed on top of the press box, and on the east rim (pan the camera to the far left/right and you can see the light towers).

YAY for the lights.

I don't see images for today 6-29. I hope the camera isn't broken again.

Just checked the camera. Our benches in the Gold Zone are finally in. Yaa!

Can also see the sound system speakers installed on short poles at the outer wall of the stadium.

Wonder what those diagonal trenches on the field are for. Any ideas? Drainage?

Based on the Construction Updates, I think that those are the trenches for drainage.

The irrigation system has already been installed.

Are they installing under the aluminum benches? it almost looks like the old wooden benches have been installed in the end zones. Are they recycling?

You can't be serious. The only wood in the end zones are temporary posts, to prevent falls off the HC platforms, and concrete forming material.

You missed 20 months of webcam photographs of construction.

Wait, you mean I have to sell my bench back to Cal for the end zone ?

These are in areas that are new construction; instead of the metal benches there are these green/brownish lateral runners, Not as wide as a full bench. Maybe they are used to position the bench supports during installation.

Looks strange to see stadium seats in front of the press box.

What you may be interpreting as wood is actually stacked aluminum benches.

Underneath the benches will be metal stanchions. I've also noticed what appears to be a shadow on the concrete in two of the South End Zone sections (LL and MM). I think that this is actually aluminum laid directly on the concrete for whatever reason related to bench installation.

None of the old wood benches are coming back.

Are they repainting the C?

If the plan is to repaint the C in the student section before September 1, I haven't heard about it.

Note deep trenches in North Endzone. No more lakes of standing water there.
