So, with DJ Martin off the board, Justin Davis a Trojan, and Trevorris Johnson [who was interested and visited with Prevot a few weeks back] committing to TCU..who are we still lookin at?

We didn't offer him right? So obviously they have someone else in mind. Hate these posts that moan about us losing guys we never offered

Honest mistake. Remember seeing us associated somehow and was just passing the news along.

We're in pretty good with Terrell Newby. It'll be us or Nebraska.

I know we didn't offer him but I as hoping we would. I'm a bit disappointed that Cal didn't at least offer a scholarship and i do wonder why Cal decided not to offer but I trust Coach Gould when it comes to RBs.

We're very likely to get Newby. We never offered Olito. It's also a long way till NSD. Given Gould's track record, running back recruiting is the last thing we need to be real concerned about right now.

All that said...I am, for now, disappointed to see Thompson commit elsewhere in the P12. I know academics will factor with him, but he's a good local talent.

I completely agree with you ManBear.

I suppose grades were the ultimate reason why Cal didn't offer. Hopefully we get Newby and one other RB somewhere along the way. As you said, In Gould We Trust so I'm not going to get frustrated or worried about this, even though I may initially be a little disappointed.

Grades were definitely the reason. He's still got a lot of work to do.

I think we'll land Newby, and if SC does land Redd, I just get a feeling that Justin Davis may start to reconsider.

858, olito's gpa is currently in the low 2s

if he can challenge himself academically during his 1st quarter this fall, perhaps he will earn an offer then

seriously doubt living in the frozen tundra of pullman which is cost prohibitive for his family & friends to see him play his college ball is his dream school should jt and coach gould offer him

have you considered joining the premium board?

Why? Redd will be a Junior this year and if he has a good season, he could turn pro. If not, he will be a Senior while Justin Davis will be a True Freshman. He has nothing to worry about.

Ya true, but if you look at all the RBs on the roster for USC, they were all 4-5 star guys, and none of them have stepped up enough to where USC is going after Redd? Speaks volumes about their development.

And of course .... none of them think so highly of themselves to believe that they should be playing all of the time. No way Lame would have promised any of them a future..... Right???

McNeal was a 3 star.
