As reported over the weekend, basic turf is in with numbers, outer areas, etc. still to go. Big trucks outside this morning idling with huge rolls of something (outer green?). Also, north end stairs now poured, north scoreboard hung, etc.

Thank you for the photos! With the webcam down again, I miss my morning "fix" of stadium progress.

I like the lights lining the outer rim of the stadium. Those are gonna look great in the evening/night.

I wonder if they will put some "filler" around the video screens so they won't look like they jut out so far from the scoreboard structure itself. Or maybe they actually will be pushed back further into the structure than currently shown.

Anyway, great pics, thanks for the update!

Does the size of the screen look adequate?

They definitely aren't going to be large. given the actual number of meaningful replays compared to the amount of crap they put on the old screen, I'd just assume they spend money elsewhere, as larger video boards would run millions and millions more. At least they fit the character of the stadium now. They just need better resolution and more brightness than the old single board.

They're apparently 22 feet tall by 40 feet wide per this previous thread: http://bearinsider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59104.

I, like many others, wish that we didn't have to make the video screen concession to the hill people, and that we could install a board like the one at the Rose Bowl, which has phenomenal video quality and is not obscenely large (30x77 per this informative Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_scoreboards_in_NCAA_college_football). But I'll take 22 by 40, as it'll undoubtedly be nicer than what we previously had.

I walked by the stadium on Saturday (no screens had been put up yet), and the space for where the screens will go is more than adequate. It won't wow you, but they will be good. The pictures do not do them justice - it's much larger in person.

2 things
The screen will be 100% usable for replays. So the stats etc can be taken down to show a "large sized" replay and then returned to normal.

Am I the only one who looks at the spelling and number sequence to make sure we do not have a "who are the chefs?" moment?
