It worked. Spain got two free throws and the ball. It was ridiculous.
Glad Fernandez is playing in Europe. I hate flopping (even if the Warriors benefit from a call). Hate it in soccer and hate it in bball. The women flop so much less. It's pathetic to watch some of the men doing it.

Well, it WAS a foul.

...That's not a flop. He was trying to turn one way and got pulled at the back of the leg the other direction causing his body to change directions radically unexpectedly. His head seems to rotate excessively...RIGHT as his foot is pulled out from under him causing his whole body to rotate in the same direction his head did. The contact was 100% illegal and I'm glad he got 2 free throws and possession...that was a blatant foul.
I *HATE* flopping...but seriously...lets have someone film you getting pulled down unexpectedly at the back of your leg and see what it looks like in slow motion. There are enough example of REAL flopping that this one shouldn't have to be included...

oh please - watch it again several times; yes, iguadola is pulling on his leg, but he doesn't appear to have much leverage; his hand is on his leg tugging for a bit which slows/stops fernandez (so, agree, it's a foul); but then, once it's clear rudy can't get to the ball, he goes into his ridiculously exaggerated falling/screaming motion

so many players flop in the nba, including american players.
what's such a big deal about that particular flop?

Look at his plant foot. He's shifting weight to it and it gets pulled sideways out from under him causing him to fall over. At least from this image, I can't make out his facial expression one way or another to know if he's exaggerating his facial expressions...but his body is contorting to being pulled on.
Further...have you ever had someone pull on the back of your knee forcing it to bend? There are tendons there that are somewhat sensitive/uncomfortable to have yanked on.
Again...I believe there is flopping in basketball and think its terrible...but this is a poor example of a flop.

iguadola had his hand on the back of his hamstring for a while and pulling on it; however, fernandez only reacts severely (and look the facial expression - it is one associated with extreme pain - like he was being shot) once he sees he won't get the loose ball; then he immediately throws his hands up looking for the foul (which is strange given the severe pain you were just in)

The dude was screaming out in pain. Then immediately throws his hands up for a call. Collins and the other announcers spotted it for the flop it was.
It doesn't make me angry. I saw the gif (which clearly mocks the flop) and cracked up because as I watched the game yesterday it was such an obvious acting job.

You posted about it 9 times in this thread. If not anger, you are certainly passionate about it.

I'm impressed that you can count to, or approximate, nine

Thank you for admitting you lost the argument by resorting to such immature behavior.

Gosh, I hope his injury isn't career-threatening.
