Just a few pics from Sunday morning when I took a group of friends on a walk up and around Memorial Stadium starting out from Rockridge BART...certainly earned our Barney's lunch! Didn't take a pic of it, but the eastern plaza area up above the student section was looking a lot closer to being game ready. When walking around the stadium's east side, you can really see from all of the restored trenching how much of an infrastructure upgrade has been done as well.

So, here are a half-dozen pics from Sunday and the link for Saturday's pics (8/18). You can also check out the 8/18 pic posting for some great shots from MoragaBear that allow you to see how classy some of the signage is. I would have added this link to that posting but wanted a change in title (if you have not seen the news, a lion and two cubs has been seen between the LBL buildings just up the hill. And just as we finished our walk, we saw a fawn like 30 feet away and I quickly announce "This concludes the tour and every Bear for him or herself!"

What is going to be difficult after the fun of watching Memorial being rebuilt and sharing it here is taking pics at games. Cal seems to do better when I'm not trying to take pics! haha

Yep, what a small world! Had a great walk last Sunday morning with her, her husband, and two other friends. Rockridge BART up around the Stadium and back. Four of us are going to the Ohio St. game and three of us hopefully to the Oregon St. game.

Also got out a note at work to a list of Cal alums and fans I had about restoring the tradition of a Cal Big Game Lunch with links to the galleries and found out that several had been following my Memorial pic postings here during the summer and not knowing I was BBB.
