I'm getting a bit nervous about who will / won't carry Pac 12 Network, so thinking of options.

I know others currently with Comcast, and my understanding is that Comcasters can log on and watch via streaming when away from home.

Any limitations to the streaming? Can they be watching at home, and log in and watch streaming at same time, and if so, any channel conflicts? If they pay for package with Pac 12 Network, would it therfore be available via streaming?

I called Comcast yesterday about no Pac-12 on Xfinity.tv. After doing a bunch of research, the rep finally located information stating that the Pac-12 network will go live on Xfinity.tv August 31. Hope she's right. She also stated that the only HD channel on Comcast is the Pac-12 National feed. Local station remains SD. Boo! However, she did close the call by reminding me that anything and everything is subject to change "around here, from minute-to-minute".

Reps are notoriously out of the loop about what's what.

The Xfinity postcard, plus cable box channel labeling on Right Now, both agree (in the south bay at the very least) the HD channel feed is the BayArea variety.

Um, or you talk'n about streaming HD GoCal73? I'm ready to believe the online PacNet HD is a huge odds on favorite to be Nat'l flavor.

Separately I elevated to a separate thread what seems to me breaking news indication all SEVEN pac channels supposedly will be streamable to (unspecified) cable subscribers. Fingers crossed.

I have no problem with comcast taking a little extra time to get things set up. Sept 8th or bust for me (though I have no other choices, so I'm relying on comcast), that's the date CU hosts Sac St which will be on the local net, and I want to see S. Utah @ Cal.

Comcast has done some VERY substantial upgrades of their online streaming for all their programming, it's actually decent. I have a feeling they want p12 streaming integrated with all their other online content and it doesn't quite work yet. We'll see... they have a great iphone/ipad app too. pretty easy to watch comcast content when not at home via the phone/tablet/or PC/laptop.

I have a question for all those who has Comcast in the Bay Area

I finally had time to look into the channels today. I see that 433 is the Pac 12 BA Standard Def channel, and the 823 is the HD P12 channel

what about 434. I talked to a rep and was told that I need to get sports package with it?

So what is the Pac12 BA channel? is that the same as the national feed?

Is there 2 versions of the Pac12 channel being broadcasted?

when there are conflicting events, sometimes the regional channel will have a different game than the national one. For a Cal fan in the Bay Area, the national channel is unnecessary. For an Oregon or USC fan in the Bay Area, it may be helpful though, but even then I'd guess that streaming could be better quality that a SD national channel.

The formal name of the sports package the rep mentioned is Sports Entertainment Tier. Costs about 10 bucks a month, or else "free" with the more expensive premium bundles.

Allegedly they'll be added by end of August, but you'll watch through the xfinity site, not pac-12.
