We've all seen that DirectTV has dropped the ball. Comcast has likewise dropped the ball for the DC area and at least Chicago.
It looks like it's down to the wire on if we are going to be able to pressure Comcast to let us get the channel. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated. If you can contact Comcast and help us out here would highly appreciate it.
The facebook group isn't large yet, it has multiple comcast and directtv numbers and the larger it gets the harder it will be for them to ignore.

Hello,
This email is not meant to alarm folks, but there is a chance that the Cal game may not be available to us this weekend. For us to get the game, your help is urgently requested by the Pac-12 Network. While I think the Network should have been better prepared for this possibility, I am happy they are at least giving us a chance to help bring Cal football telecasts here.
They have asked us to get as many alums as possible to contact Comcast, asking about the Network. The more calls, the better. Also, if you have any ideas on how to build up support for the network with Comcast, or need more info before you make contact, let me know.
See below - this is from my contact with the Pac-12 Network (a former New York Cal club President):
We're working with Comcast to bring you Pac-12 Network in the very near future. I'm pulling emails coming out of DC and Chicago asking for the networks for negotiation meetings (500 from both your cities since launch). An Oregon alum out in DC has started a Facebook campaign: "Demand Pac-12 Network Access Now". He said they are also buying ad space this weekend to drum up awareness.
At this point we really need alums to call Comcast to show consumer demand. That is the most effective measure right now for us, even though we can't measure the call volume on our end.
I'm not sure what you can do out in DC as far as contacts. Give me any ideas you have and I'll run it by the team here.
I will send out info tomorrow regarding progress on this, which will hopefully be positive. But, in the meanwhile, please contact Comcast. Every call will help - you can make a difference here.
Thank you!
