Just curious which coach would you pick:
Coach A turns a stagnant program around in a few years and his teams bursts into national prominence with a once-in-a-generation quarterback. With the program at the top of its game and a top 5 national rating leaves the program for the NFL. Coach A puts winning above all else, including modesty and sportsmanship.
Coach B does the same thing, but turns down the NFL and practically by his own will and threats to leave the program, gets an antiquated stadium and training facilities built during a severe recession. Coach B puts academics, sportsmanship, and building character ahead of winning.
I am guessing that many on this board would pick Harbaugh (A) over Tedford (B).
