Did anyone else get a mysterious pair of comp tickets to Saturday's game from the ATO? Are they the reward for responding to the survey about the gameday experience last Saturday? Mine are in Section L, which makes them fairly good tickets I believe.

If the tickets are legitimate, I've even more irritated about having to go to a family wedding reception on Saturday.

Every season ticket holder gets 2, per an email ATO sent out earlier this afternoon.

The tickets I got are row 70 section O (visitor section). Pretty much the worst tickets you can get.

If you aren't going to be using yours, I'll take them off your hands . I'm pretty sure I can give them away at work to help fill the stadium.

Yeah I mysteriously got two tickets just one minute ago. I saw the earlier e-mail but missed the part about free tickets.

Tells you a lot about how tickets sales have gone for this game, but it's cool, I will put them to use.

For the moment, I'll offer the tickets to the guy who is using my regular tickets on Saturday. He insisted on paying me face price for them, about which I feel guilty after last Saturday's game. So I owe him a favor.

Anyone have comped tickets for Furd they'd like to exchange for a premium? I've got seats in Section AA, Row 63, up near the North end minitron (probably will look big from where I'd be sitting). I prefer seeing sideline as I am not fond of the Playstation view. But unless I can upgrade, that's fine; will just be happy to be there.

I actually like it. Aggressive marketing this year. In years past we used to tarp up some of the corner sections and put BLUE ZONE and GOLD ZONE across. This year we are giving the tickets away to fill the stadium (and hopefully convert a fan or 2).

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if people are giving them away at the gate. I for one will be bringing 2 friends who has never been to a college football game and introduce them to our winning :rollinglaugh: ways

I've been having some ticket problems and I was confused because I thought these were to replace some others but they are nowhere near where I'm sitting (new ones are in MM). Glad I saw this thread.

I hadn't read the "Gameday" email at first, so I thought that the comp tickets were the ones that basketball season ticketholders were offered for renewing. Did anyone receive a confirmation about THOSE free tickets? Or did the ATO forget that they promised those to us? I had RSVP'd for 3 of those free tickets, so I was confused when I received this email with 2 tickets. The ones I received are in section LL.
It seems like a nice gesture, but I think it would have been better to OFFER the comp tickets to us and only send them if people actually RSVP'd to claim them. Now, a lot of them might go unused, overlooked, and empty. Do they actually have enough available seats to give 2 to every season ticket holder, and also offer 1 ticket per seat purchased to every basketball renewal?

I agree, I think a request kind of thing would have been better.

For the SJSU game Stanfurd was giving out tickets like crazy on a request basis. I ended up snagging 12 that I was able to distribute to SJSU fans in the office :evilgrin:.

.. ROW 65 NOT a primo location (kinda suck actually) but the price is right for very high deep in the south end zone.

Transfer will be via EMAIL, printable tickets as attachments, just like what I got from Cal. So once confirmed first you'll need to followup with a delivery email address. Too complicated (hope not)?

I spammed my company's mailing list to see if anyone is interested in going to the game. The response was completely overwhelming.

If anyone else has tickets that they won't be using, please send them my way. I'd like to put as many bodies into those seats as possible .

Gold zone season tickets are exempt from this. You should have gotten some for your ESP seats though...

Interestingly, if you bought both with one account, I think you'll only get one pair and not two pairs of comped tickets. Go figure.

I do wonder how much seats we can fill this Saturday with all these comped tickets. I actually do look forward to the game for that factor alone, I mean.... as much as I can after a home lost in the first game

I've got a list of about 14 other people waiting on tickets :eek: if I can manage to get my hands on that many. Here's hoping that everyone else is seeing the same demand for these tickets...it would be absolutely nuts if we can get over 50k people to show up for an FCS game

I didn't receive the free tix, so I sent an email to the gold standard team. They said they had some problems sending out the emails yesterday, and will be sending out the rest today.
