Parking Options?

Outside of season parking passes or handing the keys over to one of the fraternity pledges to park your car, what other parking options reasonably near campus are there for game day? We have been taking BART for the last several years but need to drive in for this Saturday's game. I know in years past, that a few schools and churches in and around the campus area provided parking (for a fee of course). Willard Middle School at Telegraph/Derby was one we used several years ago, Emerson Elementary was another. Anyone know if these schools are still selling parking or any other options that Insider's can recommend?

Thanks!!!!!!!

There are typically paid parking options on Northside, near Euclid Ave. Also, there are parking options on Scenic Ave. between Virginia St. and the intersection with Le Conte Ave. & Ridge Rd.

If you don't want to pay, I might also suggest parking north of Cedar St., between Scenic and Oxford. The walk to the stadium is reasonably level, even if it's a bit more than a mile from the stadium.

For last week's game, a friend reserved and paid for a spot near the Berkeley BART station through www.parkwhiz.com. I have no idea how good the prices are.

Parking is available at Emerson Elementary; I think they charge $30.

...don't expect to show up 30 minutes before the game, but I got there 2 hours early and found a nice spot on Cedar; I usually look there and over around Arch as my son lived there. The walk is really not that bad and if you plan on attending the Sproul rally then you get a spot and by 90 minutes before you are there and if you get up by Euclid it is a straight shot to Sproul.

My son ended up literally one block off Galey at the top of the hill and he came about an hour before, but the spot, and I kid you not, had about 8-12 inches off each bumper...don't know how he did it, but living in SF on a hill must have given him good practice.

Personally for a Noon game I like to get there about 9:00 AM, park, walk to Saul's, have breakfast and then head over. It isn't that much of a hoof and coming back it is an easy romp down the hill and then leaving on Marin is a snap.

Got there a couple hours early and parked on Derby, close to MLK. Free to park on Saturdays. Not a bad walk up to the stadium either.

Another option is to park at Pyramid Brewery. They run shuttles up to Euclid and Hearst. The shuttles run 1.5 hours before the game and start back 0.5 hour before the game is done. We used to take them when we first bought season tickets. The shuttles were running again last week. Easy parking.

Before we had parking passes, we usually parked in the area along some of the side streets past Hearst, below Shattuck, then took the shuttle that stops across the street from BART. Have also parked in the city fee lots near BART as well, never had trouble finding a spot, though we did usually arrive about an hour and a half to two hours before kick-off.

... and hike to the game from there via the De Laveaga trail. See "Hike to Memorial" thread just posted for details.
