Don't get me wrong; as much as I like Jeff Tedford as a person it is time for a change. Nonetheless, please ... let's not boo the players or coaches this week (or at all this season) no matter how the game goes. Let's retain some dignity around this program and its fans. It is still college football and we don't want to project the image that Cal is classless to future bears. We are not classless and there is always next year (with hopefully some brilliant rising new star at head coach).

Booing players esp is classy as SC tools. [not all 'em, but middling double-digit percentage imo]

Word at farmers market says some "fans" drink [SIZE="4"]a lot[/SIZE].. all tingly Bear sense drowned.

Plus there's the hard cases, NegaBears convinced no wins this season brings the best possible world, coaching wise. Exhibit A: Cybears.

Don't worry, I just talked to all 17 people that will be in the student section and they promised they wont boo

Shouldn't have to make the point you raised, but you are right. Cal "fans" booed Joe Ayoob in 2005. What horses&!t. Never boo players. They don't get paid. They are not pros. And knock off the "they get a scholarship" crap. That doesn't ever mean you have standing to boo a player. Write to Tedford, call Tedford, post things about Tedford here. Say you didn't like some players work on Saturday on this board. But never boo our Cal student athletes in CMS.

Agree with you. No need to boo the players. However, booing the coaches would be ok with me if the players werent on the field. Simply put---if you are booing the coaches the players will just think its aimed at them and thats not cool. So I agree with you. No booing.

You can write an e-mail to Sandy Barbour. She will respond.
You can make a nasty childish post on this board.

If you can't stop yourself, don't go to the game. Watch it on TV and yell at the TV.

boooooooooooooooooo (I am kidding. Anyone who boos their own team is not right. Just wait to come home and rant on this website).

But - I get mighty disappointed sometimes, my blood pressure goes up, and I may need a drink to relax. I never let my other Pac 12 acquaintances see me sweat, but losses like last week are hard to take, and I think I am develping an ulcer. Would a lawsuit for breach of contract, and claiming emotional distress naming Barbour and Tedford as defendants be OK if I don't boo? Can I yell - "Tedford you idiot!"

In all seriousness, I don't like negative talk about Cal at the game, but Bear fans in my section were constantly spouting off last Saturday.

You nailed it with this post! The players do what the coaches tell them to even if what they are being told is wrong! They need our full support, they deserve it. Now the coaches are another matter, send note to email of whatever coach you are pissed with and tell how you feel but no booing the players on the field.

I agree with not booing the players, and all should refrain when passes are dropped or Maynard misses throws, etc.

But, as a paying customer and CAL Fan who has been displeased with the coaching for years, I ABSOLUTELY WILL BOO Tedford's 3rd and long draws when the game is on the line, too many classic Tedford sweeps that everyone in the stadium knows is coming, and other obvious coaching flails.

We are years past the no booing threshold of Tedford and his coaching staff.

If you feel the uncontainable urge to boo then save it for while we are on defense so that it's still noise to disrupt the other team's offense. :acclaim:

These pleas, and boos, have been going on since 2005.

Now if we loose this games, all bets are off. Are you concerned we might loose? I am struggling with predicting a 21 point Cal win.

Absolutely no need to worry. If at any point during the game things get so horribly bad that people feel the need to boo, i will have surely already lost my voice.

since I decided not to go, I will boo from home and maybe even run with scissors!!!Too bad there is not a way to let the athletes know that the boo's are for JT only
