So, if Cal is not going to have a defense this year - Tedford needs to open up the offense, because Cal is going to need score 50 every week to have a chance of winning.

What is the point of kicking a FG from 47 even if you make it (barely)? Maynard has to work on his 3rd and 4th down conversions. He just throws it up hoping that something good will happen.
