At the beginning of this season, there were many on this board who just wanted Cal to be "competitive"/"not be blown out" against Ohio State and USC. Well we were certainly competitive against Ohio State ($hit we should have won), yet it seems like the majority of this board is more angry now than after the Nevada game. My guess is this is a result of the bad Nevada loss coupled with the Ohio State loss that was due in (large) part to Tedford's questionable 4th and 1 call.

Looking on the bright side, we played much better than we did in the first two games against a much tougher opponent. If this type of improvement continues as the season progresses, we will win most of the games remaining on our schedule (and be competitive in all of them). The question is, will this team get better as the season continues, or will we regress as Tedford coached teams historically have done? The USC game will show us alot.

Remember Oregon 2010 or Furd 2011? A great moral victory doesn't mean much going forward for Tedford teams.

I disagree on the Furd 2011... I think that it helped Maynard play well against ASU

The only other potential moral victory on the schedule is USC. In every other game, a loss will be a disappointment (no such thing as a moral victory at home).
