Do you happen to know Kim Musch who I think coaches UCSC swim team? I ask because I used to coach him in football when he was 10 or 11 years old. He was a fabulous wingback on our team!

Not socially, but I swim occasionally at UCSC and when I see him in the office or on the pool deck we usually shoot the breeze. I'm a big fan of Cal swimming and it's fun to talk to him about the Cal men's and women's programs and about issues relating to coaching a Division 3 swim team like UCSC. He's a great guy. I'll pass on your remark.

UCSC has another Cal alum involved in its swimming program, Joel Wilson. Joel is one of the top distance masters swimmers in the country and was Cal's best swimmer in the late 60's. He's a Central Coast local coming from Salinas to Cal in 1966.
