and make our opponents change coverage and personnel? Why must we always be in a reactive mode?

I don't get it. Okay, football scholars, let me know why I'm being unreasonable.

On freshmen receivers Bryce Treggs and Chris Harper, who have been quiet recently, Tedford said that they have to continue to catch the ball, run the right routes, and be ready. 'If the defense dictates that we go to them, then we'll go to them.'

Everything about Tedford sounds exactly like Ben Braun now. Braun played that spin your wheels, random, purposeless screening action drill, until about 10 seconds left in the clock, whereupon since there were only a couple options left, Jerome Randle or Ayinde Ubaka would have to chuck up a three to beat the buzzer. The random, screening without conviction, was supposed to smoke out the defense and we were supposed to exploit and react to what they showed. Did the spirit of Ben Braun take over Jeff Tedford's body?
