I'm curious as to your opinions on Jahvid Best's fantasy football value in non-keeper leagues for the remainder of this year. He could return as early as week 6, and I've quietly added him on all my teams.

Detroit's running game has been lacking, and indications are that Best is raring to go and in shape if he is allowed to play. What do you think? Am I being overly optimistic?

Yes. He has slim to no value at this point, and I'd be surprised if he even plays again. Hasn't even taken contact yet.

Unfortunately, the next game he is in will probably be his last as he'll just get another concussion and then retire. What could have been.

At this point it's speculative, but if you have room on your bench and you're not passing up other players who could help you now it's worth a shot. If he is cleared to play there's a very good chance he will start. A lot will also depend on how Leshoure totes the rock in the meantime. If he does well then they won't be in a hurry to get Jahvid back into the starting lineup.
