Anyone feel like we are going to win this weekend? The line seems very odd as I would figure UCLA would be around 10 point favorites after watching both teams in all of their games. I really can't see how we win this one, and UCLA has to be hungry to end their futility in Strawberry Canyon (much like ASU last week). I think the doors fall off this time around with the last few weeks of us hanging around when it feels like we should be getting blow out finally catches up to us.

The scores in those games were not indicative of how poorly we played. Maybe that's why the line is so low...

UCLA puts lots of pressure on Maynard early, Tedford employs no counter measures, Maynard gets rattled, game over.

UCLA is going to score some points, their defense is not exactly nails but our offense is craptacular. I can see us holding them to a low-scoring game but by about mid-season is when teams begin to figure each other out, unless we starting pulling rabbits out of hats we won't be doing much this Saturday.

This is the first season when Cal fans are picking the opponent at home (both ASU & UCLA games) during the 11 year JT era. Even the Rivals writer, Gorcey, has picked the Sun Devils & Bruins to defeat the Bears. Sad. I think that it's time for a regime change if Cal finishes with a losing record.

Please, JT, limit/eliminate Maynard's 5-step drops. Roll outs, misdirection pitches to Bigelow, play-option passes, backfield in motion -- but no 5-step drops.

The only thing that 5-step drops lead to is Maynard getting dropped.

One of the craziest betting lines I can remember. I predict UCLA 35 - Cal 10. It is back to the old days for the Bears. I still remember going up to Memorial all enthused in 1978. Cal was 5-1 and UCLA beat them 45-0. Lead by Billy Don Jackson - the illiterate killer. Cal won one more game after that beatdown.
