Anyone with Comcast been able to sign on and watch the Pac 12 Network on line? I understand there was a problem with this being experienced as late as last week.Any tips, help would be appreciated.

I was watching a couple of different feeds Friday night with no problems. Have you had problems? The only delay I had was finding where it is on their website in the sports area. You have to know your signon and password.

My brother was watching the water polo game online Saturday and the channel went down a couple of times for a few minutes. I had the bay area channel go down for a few minutes around the same time but haven't had a problem with it since then. I went to the sd national feed and that was working.

So WHY can't I use Xfinity on either my iPad or my GoogleTV to watch the Pac-12 Network feed? Is it because Pac-12 feeds are all encoded to use Silverlight? Isn't there another alternative to get this feed to something besides a desktop or laptop PC (or Mac)? C'mon guys! It's been like... MONTHS since this business relationship was finalized. Fix the dang feeds (and Apps) to work on my mobile devices!

The Pac-12 app works great for Time Warner customers. Blame Comcast for insisting that their subscribers use their XFinity system.

I have been wondering the same thing. Would be great to share.

I have been able to watch on laptop, but mobile app doesn't do live stream so no watching on iPhone. Yet.

Okay, I downloaded the iPad xfinity app.
I have a friend's xfinity signon info (email and password) and it let me in. But, would I be changing the channel on his tv set top box at home if I watch on my iPad??

I am a Comcast sub...I watched last week in a hotel room. Any problems were because of my old computer-it works fine.

You can't watch through the xfinity app yet. You can watch on a desktop or laptop browser but not the iPad yet.

No word from our Comcast overlords when that functionality on the iPad will start working.

I tried watching the USC game on my laptop hooked up to my TV. I found the picture quality lacking.

Thanks. Good to know.
But if I were to watch via the internet, it's not going to change the channel on the home box top when I watch on the desktop computer, right? If I had the TV and the computer side by side, I could watch two different channels whereas I'd otherwise only be able to watch 1 channel with a tv alone, right?

Right. The internet browser and your TV are two separate devices, with two separate authentication mechanics. Watching TV (any channel) will not affect what you can watch on the Internet.

This allows my nephew, who normally lives in Sacramento, CA to 'visit' me when Cal games are playing; and he then watches the Cal games over the internet while he is 'visiting' here in TX. Of coarse, I usually peek over his shoulder while the game is on. Meanwhile, his girl-friend and her erstwhile boyfriend can still watch whatever they want on their TV back in Sacra-tomato.

And this is the reason why I broke down and got a GoogleTV last year. The GoogleTV takes the HDMI from my DTV receiver, and then sends the HDMI on to my big HDTV in the living room. The GoogleTV is ALSO connected to the internet, and so...

The idea is that I can get HDMI from either the Internet, or from DTV with the touch of a remote. And generally, it works pretty well. I watch on-line movies and you-tube videos by seamlessly switching between the satellite or the GoogleTV. No cable switching, no input changing, just a single poke on a single remote.

And if the dang Xfinity App would work on my GoogleTV, it would allow me to watch Cal playing on the Pac-12 Network feed just fine. As it is, I have to do this on either a Windows based PC (desktop or laptop) or a Mac (a computer -- not the iPad).

The compromise I've reached is this: I get the Xfinity Pac-12 Network feed going on an old Windows laptop. The wireless connection streams very nicely BTW. Then I take the laptop over near the living room TV, and pop it onto an even older TV-tray (remember those?). I then take a VGA cable and connect it between the lap-top and the VGA-input on my HDTV. I do the same with some audio cables. My Panasonic TV has some convenient front-accessible ports just for this kind of chicanery. We then share the lap-top screen to the TV (like with an external monitor). Voila: Cal game streaming over Pac-12 Network feed, displayed on my living room HDTV.

It is the a nasty bit of Rube Goldberg cabling and computer foo for what should be trivial and clean if the dang Xfinity App worked on either the GoogleTV or the iPad -- since I can easily AirPlay stream anything on the iPad over to the GoogleTV.

CalGeek,
I'm a PC guy, but the MAC in the household hooked up to the TV (via Apple's USB/HDMI adapter) has a a great picture on HBO stuff...I haven't tried it yet on the Pac-12...
