It will never be as meaningful or as special for me as it is right now. Never again.

No matter how many seasons I hold season tickets [and I will], no matter how many more years I happen to live, the Big Game will never be THIS Big ever again.

Oh well. I'll make it a day to never forget...if I can talk or move tomorrow, it means I didn't do my job right. Last year's Stanford game knocked me out for four days.

tl;dr LET'S BRING IT HOME. GO BEARS

P.S. If anyone's looking for me, front row of Student Section starting at 10AM. Stay Golden shirt, white khakis, California Bears snapback.

You seniors will remember today's game for a long, long, long time. Bring the intensity, lose your voices, never give up hope, will your Bears to victory.

Today is my 26th Big Game, but nothing will ever top the intensity of my last one as a student. Go Bears!

I never saw a Big Game win as a student. Hope you get to see the Axe returned to its rightful place in Berkeley in your last Big Game in the student section!

I actually far preferred my first big game (1986) as a student to my last (1991). Tommy Vardell. 'nuff said.

However, the end of that season was pretty sweet.

I'd suggest that you try to burn every single memory of this game out of your head.

Yep.

More in a few days when the board calms down a bit.

My last Big Game as an undergrad was Roth and Muncie bringing it to Furd down on the farm. Sorry to bring that up right now B & G.

Ditto this. And I've been to most of them, not all, since. And yesterday's was the worst I'd ever seen. Period. Was actually ashamed to be a Cal fan last night. Never thought that would happen.

Do the right thing, Sandy.

B & G - one small consoling note - it's games like this stinker that makes crushing them, as Cal did in '75, all the much sweeter.

In the pantheon of awful Big Games, I think 1998 was worse for me. It was torturous to always be within one score, but to know that we pretty much had no chance to win. Our 2012 offense is light years better than our 1998 offense.

Maybe 1998 team was worse. At least Justin Vedder, who had no god-given skills, gave it all up for the team on Saturdays. He didn't jog out of bounds, yak it up on the sidelines during a bad loss the way Maynard does. But of course, JT knows best...

My first Big Game as a student was '93, the last game on the old turf. We stormed the field hoping to take a piece of the old turf as a memento, and the guy on the PA was telling us not to rip up the turf cuz the University was going to sell it :rollinglaugh:

Even if you managed to pull up a seam, it was incredibly hard to rip off a piece! I went home empty handed.
